Timothy Ellersiek

Timothy Ellersiek is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in routing solutions and geographic information systems. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Tesco since February 2019, Timothy focuses on implementing and optimizing last mile delivery routing solutions. Previously, Timothy co-founded GIS-OPS.com, specializing in bespoke GIS solutions, and worked as a Senior Software Developer at Pie.io, where routing software for logistics companies was engineered and implemented. Timothy’s career also includes a significant role at openrouteservice.org, providing a free API for various geographic services, and research on game optimization patterns at Fraunhofer IAIS. Timothy began a career in team management and project coordination at SK Gaming. Timothy holds a Master's Degree in Geographic Information Systems from Ruhr University Bochum and a Bachelor's Degree in Geography and Philosophy from The University of Bonn.
