Sendil Palani is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in the automotive and technology sectors. Currently serving as Vice President of Finance at Tesla since May 2014, Sendil Palani has held various finance leadership roles, focusing on Engineering Finance, Manufacturing Finance, and Corporate Planning. Previous positions at Tesla include Director of Engineering Finance and Senior Finance Manager, where critical contributions were made to product development, Autopilot technology, and manufacturing projects. Tesla operates as two segments: one focused on automotive which includes its Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X vehicles, and the second on energy generation and storage which includes Powerwall and Megapack lithium-ion batteries. Today, Tesla is led by Elon Musk, however, other notable founders of the company are Martin Eberhard, JB Straubel, Marc Tarpenning, and Ian Wright. The company has manufacturing facilities in the US, Germany and China and has operations across Asia Pacific and Europe. Tesla is headquartered in Austin, Texas.
