Additionally, they market and sell vehicles to consumers through a network of company owned stores and galleries. Tesla operates as two segments: one focused on automotive which includes its Model 3, Model Y, Model S, and Model X vehicles, and the second on energy generation and storage which includes Powerwall and Megapack lithium-ion batteries. Today, Tesla is led by Elon Musk, however, other notable founders of the company are Martin Eberhard, JB Straubel, Marc Tarpenning, and Ian Wright.
