Joseph Castellano started their work experience as a Junior Test Engineer at Identifeye Health in February 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Dietary Aide at Apple Rehab from June 2018 to September 2022, where they trained new employees, assisted residents with meal selection, and coordinated with coworkers to ensure timely serving of meals. From July 2020 to August 2022, Joseph worked as a Window Cleaner at CT Clear View LLC, efficiently cleaning windows and communicating effectively with coworkers and clients. Joseph also gained experience at UConn School of Engineering, where they worked on two projects. In 2021, they were part of a team that developed a device and mobile app for retinal image diagnosis, utilizing TensorFlow and Android Studio. Joseph also worked on a project in 2021 as part of a team that developed a high-fidelity CPR manikin with user-friendly feedback, conducting research and managing documentation. Additionally, Joseph worked as a Commissary Production Kitchen and Bakery Employee at University of Connecticut - Dining Services from September to December 2021, where they efficiently prepared and packaged baked goods and maintained a clean workstation.
Joseph Castellano completed their high school education at East Haven High School from 2014 to 2018, earning a High School Diploma. Subsequently, they pursued their Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.S.E.) degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Connecticut, from 2018 to 2022.
