Nacho Retamoza

Nacho Retamoza has worked in the IT industry since 2011. Nacho started as a System Administrator and Help Desk at the Facultad de Arquitectura, Diseño y Urbanismo de la Universidad de la República. In 2017, they took on the role of HPC Cluster Administration - ClusterUY at the Facultad de Ingeniería, Universidad de la República. In 2016, they worked as a Teacher - Operating Systems II at CETP - UTU. In 2018, they became a Security Operations Center Analyst at Agesic. In 2019, they worked as an Information Technology Infrastructure Specialist at Fiscalía General de la Nación and as a Linux SysAdmin at Nexa IT, where they were responsible for Linux, DevOps, Performance, Monitoring, IaC, Cloud, and the use of tools such as Docker, Apache, Terraform, Grafana, Ansible, Gitlab CI/CD, and InfluxDB. In 2021, they moved to flugel.it as a Cloud Engineer and is currently working as a Senior System Engineer - Cloud at TestGorilla since 2022.

Nacho Retamoza attended UTU - Dirección General de Educación Técnico - Profesional from 2006 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachiller en Informática in the field of Informática. Nacho then attended Universidad de la República from 2009 to 2022, where they obtained an Ingeniero en Computación in the field of Computación, Informática. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS), HashiCorp, and The Linux Foundation. These certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (obtained in February 2022), HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate (002) (obtained in October 2022), and LFCS: Linux Foundation Certified Systems Administrator (obtained in May 2019).
