Stephen Carolan

Stephen Carolan, PhD, currently serves as Data Engineer III at TetraScience, having progressed from Data Engineer II since June 2022. Previously, Stephen was a PhD Candidate in Astrophysics at Trinity College Dublin from September 2018 to May 2022, specializing in the local environments around exoplanets through advanced 3D simulations under the supervision of Prof. Aline Vidotto. In addition to research, Stephen contributed to the Trinity College Dublin Careers Service as a CV reviewer, aiding undergraduate and postgraduate students in job application preparation from January 2019 to January 2022. Stephen's earlier experiences include a research internship focusing on the first stars in the universe in 2017, bar staff at Virginia Park Lodge in 2016, and a camp instructor at St. Kilians summer camp from 2013 to 2016. Stephen holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Astrophysics and a degree in Physics and Astrophysics from Trinity College Dublin, as well as a Leaving Certificate with 575 points from Virginia College, Virginia Co. Cavan.
