Montwanette Taylor

Montwanette Taylor, M.Ed., serves as the District Testing Coordinator and Director of Academic Interventions at Texans Can Academies since July 2023. Prior to this role, Montwanette accumulated extensive experience at DeSoto Independent School District from August 2018 to June 2023, holding positions such as Principal of Summer School, Assistant Principal, Instructional Design Leader, and Campus Instructional Coordinator. At Lancaster ISD from August 2008 to August 2018, Montwanette worked as a Lead Teacher/Instructional Coach, Master Teacher/Instructional Coach, Mentor Teacher, and Social Studies Teacher. Additionally, a brief stint as a Social Science High School Instructor occurred at Prime Prep Academy in June 2015. Montwanette's educational background includes a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science in Public Affairs from the University of North Texas, a Master of Arts and Sciences in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Texas at Dallas, and ongoing studies towards a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration at Liberty University, along with a Master's in Organizational Leadership from Colorado Technical University.
