John Cowell

John Cowell brings a diverse professional background with significant leadership experience in the fields of sports, fitness, and nonprofit organizations. Currently serving as a Board Member at Texas Biomedical Research Institute since March 2023, Cowell has held the position of Executive Vice President at Slick Enterprises since May 2007. Additional roles include Cycle Club Floor Lead at Rapha Racing Limited, Head Coach for Team Willers, and Lead Strength and Conditioning provider for High Performance Sport New Zealand. With a strong academic foundation, Cowell holds an MBA from Babson College, a PhD in Exercise Science from Auckland University of Technology, and multiple degrees in Exercise Science, interior design, and psychology. Cowell's extensive expertise in strength and conditioning has supported elite athletes, establishing a notable career both in athletics and business.
