Michael Faggella-Luby

Michael Faggella-Luby is a distinguished academic in the field of special education, currently serving as Core Faculty and Professor at the Alice Neeley Special Education Research & Service Institute at Texas Christian University since July 2013. Faggella-Luby has held multiple leadership roles, including Director of the institute from July 2017 to August 2022 and Affiliate Faculty prior to that. With a solid foundation in research, experience includes positions as Associate Research Scholar at the Center on Postsecondary Education and Disability and Research Scientist at the Center for Behavioral Education and Research. Faggella-Luby began an academic career as an Assistant Professor at the University of Connecticut and has previous experience as Assistant Dean of Students and English Teacher at Bishop Kenny High School. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Special Education from The University of Kansas, an M.Ed. in Secondary Education from the University of Notre Dame, and a BA in English from the College of the Holy Cross.
