David Sánchez is currently the Chief of Staff at Texas Civil Rights Project and the President of Our Poder LLC, a political consulting firm specializing in grassroots and large scale voter registration programs. With over a decade of experience in advising campaigns and non-profits, David previously held roles such as Vice President of Campaign Strategy at NextGen America and National Political Director at Democratic Attorneys General Association. David also served as the Campaign Manager for Cristina for Texas and Deputy National States Director for Bernie Sanders For President. David holds a Master of Public Administration from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of North Texas.

TCRP believes that legal advocacy and litigation are critical tools to protect and advance the civil rights of everyone in Texas, particularly our State’s most vulnerable populations, and to effect positive and lasting change to law and policy.
