David Nuckels

David Nuckels has extensive experience in environmental compliance and management, currently serving as Operations Environmental Compliance at the Texas Department of Transportation since January 2011. Prior to this role, David worked as a Natural Resources and Vegetation Specialist for the City of Buda, TX, and served as an elected member of the City Council, Place 3 from December 2015 to November 2018. Additional roles include Environmental and Safety Specialist at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and Environmental Planner and Compliance Manager at The University of Texas at San Antonio. David began a career in environmental roles at the Texas Department of Transportation as an Environmental Specialist, focusing on water resources and compliance issues. Educationally, David holds a Master's degree in Natural Resources Development and a B.S. in Rangeland Ecology and Wildlife Science, both from Texas A&M University.
