Asma Farooqui

Asma Farooqui is a Research Engineer II at The Texas Heart Institute, focusing on enhancing the access and usability of donor lungs through innovative reconditioning and preservation systems. Previously, Asma served as a Surgical Innovation Intern at MD Anderson Cancer Center, where responsibilities included leading medical device innovation and managing multiple device-based projects. Other notable internships include developing clinically equivalent breast phantoms at MALCOVA and conducting research on rare earth extraction methods at the U.S. Department of Energy.
