Thomas Canak has over 20 years of experience in the maritime and drilling industries. Currently, Thomas serves as Operations Superintendent at Texas International Terminals since October 2012. Prior to this role, Thomas worked in offshore drilling with ENSCO Deepwater Drilling Limited from May 2007 to September 2012 and was involved with Houston Pilots from August 2002 to April 2007 as an A/B. Thomas holds educational qualifications from Sam Houston State University and Galveston College.

Texas International Terminals (TXIT) is a multi-modal transfer facility for deep draft vessel, unit train, manifest rail, barge, and truck along the Galveston Ship Channel. As a full-service terminal developer, operator, stevedore and material handler, Texas International Terminals links our clients with the global marketplace within a centrally-located facility on the Gulf Coast and is located within Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) #36. TXIT has the capability for liquid cargo transfer and storage, dry bulk handling and storage as well as layberth facilities for all vessels, with permits approved for an additional two ship berths for post-Panamax classes with 45’ working drafts.
