Melissa Reese has a diverse and extensive work experience. Melissa is currently the Director of Video & Events at Texas Monthly since January 2022. Prior to this role, they held the position of Senior Director, TM Studio at Texas Monthly from May 2017 to January 2022. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the creative outputs of various business initiatives, managing projects and budgets, and collaborating across the company.

Before joining Texas Monthly, Melissa worked as an Associate Creative Director at Texas Exes from June 2013 to May 2017. Melissa also gained experience as an Illustrator at Burnt Orange Magazine from August 2007 to December 2009, an Animator at PowerSmack.org from May 2008 to September 2009, and as a Digital Marketing Intern at 20th Century Fox from January 2009 to May 2009.

Melissa Reese attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2006 to 2010. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio-TV-Film and Bachelor of Journalism. Their studies primarily focused on film production, animation, as well as copy editing and design.
