Evan Schmiedehaus

Evan Schmiedehaus is an Ethics Professor and Psychology Researcher at Texas State University since August 2020, specializing in philosophy and psychology instruction while conducting experimental psychology research. Recent academic work includes a case study on faculty intentions-to-quit and ongoing studies on political decisions' implications on mental health. Previously, Evan served as an instructor and instructional designer at The LBJ School of Public Affairs, coordinating leadership and organizational development training for various governmental agencies. As Director of Leadership, Learning, and Organizational Development at Grow Flourish Lead, contributions focused on cultivating positive leadership through applied positive psychology. Entrepreneurial experience includes owning multiple businesses, providing consulting services, and leadership development. Educational qualifications include two master’s degrees from Texas State University and a bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication and Leadership from St. Edward's University.
