Alexander began a career in academia as a Scientific Assistant in the Linguistics department at the University of Göttingen from 1994 to 2000. Alexander holds a Master's degree in Linguistics and Philology (German, English) from The University of Göttingen and furthered studies at UCLA during 1999-2000.
