Philippe Tanguy started their career at ALCATEL SPACE/THALES ALENIA SPACE in 2000 as a System Engineer in the Satellites Bids and Advanced Project Section. Philippe led proposals and design studies for scientific and Earth observation satellites, particularly focusing on the Meteosat Third Generation program. In 2009, they became the Technical Manager of the bid for the Meteosat Third Generation program, which resulted in a 1.3 billion euros contract. Philippe then joined Thales Alenia Space in 2010 as the Technical Manager for the Meteosat Third Generation program. In 2015, they became the Head of the Project Design Authority for the Observation & Science Domain, managing a team responsible for projects related to Earth observation, meteorology, and environment monitoring. In 2017, they transitioned to the role of Digital Transformation Project Manager, leading a project across multiple competence centers to accelerate their digital transformation. In 2019, Philippe became the Capture Leader for the Australian SBAS Program, responsible for capturing a program to deliver a Satellite Based Augmentation System and manage its operations and maintenance. Most recently, they have been working as the Director of Engineering - Navigation Domain at Thales Alenia Space, actively involved in strategic decisions and the execution of various projects.

Philippe Tanguy started their education at École Polytechnique in 1995 and completed it in 1998. In 1998, they enrolled at ISAE-SUPAERO and graduated in the year 2000. Additionally, in 1999, they attended the International Space University, completing the program SSP 99.
