Steve Kutchi has over 20 years of experience in engineering and management roles. Steve is currently the Director of Hardware & Support Engineering at Thales Defense & Security, Inc., where they oversee the design and development of communications electronics for various markets. Prior to this, Steve served as the Manager of the Mechanical Design & Engineering Support Group at Thales, where they led a team responsible for developing Software Defined Radios and other communication equipment. Before joining Thales, Steve worked as a Staff Engineer at Thales Communications, Inc., focusing on the design and development of handheld and portable communication devices. Steve began their career at Hughes Network Systems as a Senior Member of Technical Staff, where they specialized in designing satellite and terrestrial wireless terminal products. Throughout their career, Steve has demonstrated expertise in electrical design, mechanical design, simulation, testing, and project management.
Steve Kutchi completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Finance from Mount St. Mary's University in 2018. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from the University of Maryland College Park from 1992 to 1997.
