Dan Smiley

Dan Smiley is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the aviation industry, currently serving as FAA KAM and Director of Sales & Business Development for Air Mobility Solutions at Thales since May 2022. Previously, Dan held the position of Senior Capture Leader at CGH Technologies, Inc. from October 2019 to June 2022, and before that served as Senior Vice President of Global Air Traffic Management at PASSUR Aerospace, Inc. from May 2017 to September 2019. Dan’s background includes significant roles at the Federal Aviation Administration, where responsibilities included Vice President of System Operations and Deputy Vice President of System Operations from July 2011 to February 2017, along with Director of the Surface Operations Office. Additional experience includes serving as Program Manager for the Operations Standing Committee at the Civil Air Navigation Services Organization from January 2010 to June 2011 and as Senior Advisor for NextGen at the FAA in 2009.
