Vinay Kumar

Vinay Kumar currently serves as the Associate Dean (Internationalization) and Associate Professor in the Electronics & Computer Engineering department at Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, where responsibilities include research, teaching undergraduate and graduate students, and leading the Multimedia Processing Group. Additionally, Vinay Kumar holds the position of Associate Head and Associate Professor at Thapar School of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Notable past experiences include training in embedding entrepreneurship in engineering education at the University of Groningen and a postdoctoral position focusing on video processing at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Vinay Kumar’s academic background includes a PhD in Image Processing from Jaypee University of Information Technology, an M.Tech from Dayalbagh Educational Institute, and a B.Tech from Dr. K.N. Modi Institute of Engineering and Technology.
