Michelle Taylor joined Tharisa in 2008 and has been integrally involved in the group’s development. As the Chief Operating Officer of the Tharisa Group, Michelle is responsible for all of the group’s operations including the mining, processing, marketing, and logistics aspects of the business. Prior to joining Tharisa, Michelle was a partner and head of corporate governance at Routledge Modise Inc. (later Eversheds South Africa) from 1999 to 2008 and has advised a number of listed mining and technology companies.

It operates the Tharisa Mine, a co-producing, open pit PGM and chrome mine located in the Bushveld Complex of South Africa. The Company's segments include PGM and Chrome. Its subsidiaries include Arxo Metals, Tharisa Minerals, Tharisa Minerals and Arxo Logistics. Its Arxo Metals produces specialized chemical and foundry grade chrome concentrates. Its Tharisa Minerals produces PGM concentrate, as well as metallurgical and chemical grade chrome concentrates from a shallow open pit mine near Rustenburg, North West Province. Its Arxo Resources markets and sells metallurgical grade chrome concentrate to customers primarily in Asia.
