Daniel Payne has had extensive work experience in the information technology sector. Daniel started their career as a Software Developer at Applied Network Solutions Limited in 1996. Daniel then moved on to the role of Analyst Programmer at The Housing Corporation in 1997. In 1999, they joined Thatcham and took on various positions including Software Development/Management, IT Manager, and eventually Head of IT. In 2013, Daniel became the Chief Digital Officer/Chief Information Officer at Thatcham Research, where they were responsible for leading a team of 40+ employees and defining and delivering the company's IT and data strategies. Daniel held this position until at least December 2016.
Daniel Payne attended Farnborough College of Technology from 1993 to 1998, where they obtained a BSc in Computer Science with a specialization in Computer Software Engineering. Daniel later returned to the same college from 1997 to 1999 to pursue a BSC degree in Computer Science. In 2007, they also obtained a Level 5 Introductory Diploma in Management from ilm.
