Arul Baskaran

Arul Baskaran is a seasoned professional in digital strategy and product management, currently serving as Manager and Strategic Lead at the ABC Innovation Lab since May 2021. Arul also holds an Adjunct Professor position at UNSW's iCinema Centre for Interactive Cinema Research, focusing on immersive experiences through digitisation and virtual environments. Previous experience includes roles as Digital Engagement Manager at the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences, Head of Product for Yahoo7 in Australia and New Zealand, and leadership positions at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, where significant contributions included overseeing ABC TV’s digital strategy and managing the launch of multiple award-winning projects. Arul's early career includes serving as Senior Digital Producer at Gotham Broadband, delivering high-budget interactive projects for global telecommunications entities. Arul holds an MA in Communications from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Communications and Media Studies from Davidson College.
