Marika Dobbin-Thomas

Marika Dobbin-Thomas is an experienced journalist currently serving as a Homepage Editor and City Reporter at The Age since February 2008, with additional roles as Property Editor and Video Presenter. Prior experience includes reporting for The Canberra Times, Fairfax Community Network, and a brief tenure at Network Ten as a News Production Assistant. Marika also contributed to academia as a Lecturer and Tutor at the University of Melbourne from 2012 to 2016, teaching undergraduate media students. With advanced degrees in International Affairs and International Relations from The Australian National University and the University of Melbourne, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communication and a Bachelor of Social Science from RMIT University, Marika possesses a strong educational foundation in communication and international studies.
