Tanner Hockensmith has a diverse work experience in various executive leadership roles. Tanner began their career in 2004 as the Cultural Center Director at Life in Deep Ellum, where they developed and built a faith-based Cultural Center in Dallas. During their time there, they focused on financial sustainability, program creation, board and staff recruitment, and fundraising to advance the mission.
In 2013, Hockensmith became the Executive Director of The ALS Association Iowa Chapter, where they played a crucial role in increasing the organization's presence and developing sustainable programs and partnerships. Tanner led operations, strategic vision, and board recruitment, which helped advance the chapter's mission.
In 2014, Hockensmith joined The ALS Association Texas Chapter as the Executive Director/CEO. Here, they focused on driving year-over-year growth, building key relationships with donors and partners, and creating sustainable programs to ensure consistent service delivery. Tanner also managed a highly effective board of directors and staff.
Currently, S is serving as the Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at The ALS Association, a role they began in 2022.
Tanner Hockensmith attended North Central University from 1999 to 2004, obtaining a degree in Cross Cultural Studies.
