Kanisha Williams has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. From 1999 to 2022, they worked at the National School Boards Association as the Managing Director, overseeing various initiatives related to school board leadership training and development. In 2021, they also co-hosted a sports podcast titled "Another Sports View." In 2022, they joined Kamili Solutions, LLC as the Principal and Chief Consultant, focusing on leadership, diversity, equity, and inclusion, among other areas. Currently, they serve as the Director of Knowledge Communities and Specialty Events at The American Institute of Architects (AIA), beginning in 2023.
Kanisha Williams obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Government/Political Science from William & Mary in 1993. Kanisha also holds additional certifications including a Master of Scrum Ceremonies from Accredible and a DEIB Advocate certification from PowerToFly, obtained in 2023 and 2022 respectively.
