Sherif Abdelmohsen holds a prominent academic and professional background in architecture and digital media. Since July 2014, Sherif serves as a Professor and Chair of the Department of Architecture at The American University in Cairo, having previously held various positions within the department. Additionally, Sherif is the President of the Arab Society for Computation in Art, Architecture and Design, and co-founded UDAAR for Engineering Consultancy & IT Solutions. Prior experience includes an Assistant Professorship at Ain Shams University and founding KRAFT | Studio, focusing on kinematic and robotic technologies. Sherif earned a PhD in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology, along with a visiting scholar position in Computational Design from Carnegie Mellon University, and holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering from Ain Shams University.
