Kara Held

Science Director at The Baker Company

Kara Held has extensive work experience in the field of scientific research. Kara started their career as a Graduate Student at the University of Vermont in 2004. Following that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Vermont College of Medicine in 2010. In the same year, they also joined Yale University School of Medicine as a Post-Doctoral Fellow. Kara then moved on to Harvard University in 2013, where they served as a Laboratory Manager for the Rubin lab and Therapeutic Screening Core until 2015. Currently, they hold the position of Science Director at The Baker Company, starting in 2015.

Kara Held earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science from Quinnipiac University, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Following this, they pursued a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology, Pharmacology at The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont. Kara Held's doctoral studies took place from 2004 to 2010.
