The Beacon Mutual Insurance Company is the premier writer of workers’ compensation insurance within the State of Rhode Island. Chartered by the state in 1990, we are a mutual workers’ compensation insurance carrier with over 12,000 policyholders and 60% of the workers’ compensation insurance market - serving both the competitive and residual markets. We are financially secure with approximately $400M in admitted assets and we return excess surplus to our policyholders in the form of lower premiums and/or dividends. Rhode Island workers’ compensation insurance is all we do – and nobody does it better. We distinguish ourselves in the marketplace by providing unparalleled service and value to our policyholders each and every day. Headquartered in Warwick, we are able to assist our policyholders in all aspects of their coverage needs: underwriting policies with fair and accurate premiums, facilitating safe workplace environments through world-class loss prevention services, and managing claims with local and experienced adjusters. Our policyholders’ employees are treated with dignity and respect and we assist those injured workers in their efforts to return to gainful employment. We are proud to provide a local source of workers’ compensation insurance to the Rhode Island community through our agent partners. Whether you are a policyholder or interested in becoming one, please contact us so we may assist you.
