Anne Ackord

Anne Ackord is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in the hospitality and tourism sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of The Brighton Pier Group PLC and Managing Director of Brighton Pier, Anne oversees the largest free-entry tourist attraction in the UK, leading a team of over 400 and attracting more than 4 million visitors annually. In addition, Anne has held the position of Independent Governor at GB MET college since February 2021. Previous roles include Operations Director at Bourne Leisure, responsible for entertainment programs and retail operations across 57 holiday parks, and Area Director at Welcome Break, where Anne was recognized as the first female in this role, managing significant service areas and spearheading national training initiatives. Anne Ackord holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from The Open University.
