Kim Effron has extensive experience in education and patent law, currently serving as a Language Tutor at The Carroll School since 2014, specializing in Orton-Gillingham methods for language development. Prior to this position, Kim worked as an Orton-Gillingham tutor for dyslexic students at the Lexington Children's Dyslexia Center from 2011 to 2014. A background in patent law includes roles as a patent agent at Pennie & Edmonds, California Biotechnology, and Scios Nova between 1983 and 1992. Kim Effron holds a Master of Education in Elementary Education from Lesley University, a Master of Science in Life Sciences from the Weizmann Institute of Science, and an A.B. in Biology from Kenyon College.

Carroll School is a dynamic independent day school for elementary and middle school students in grades 1-9 who have been diagnosed with specific learning difficulties in reading and writing, such as dyslexia.
