Ryan Fowler is a seasoned mental health professional with extensive experience in program management and counseling. Currently serving as a Senior Program Associate in Global Behavioral Health at The Carter Center, Ryan leads initiatives focused on mental health workforce capacity and policy improvement in Liberia and Sierra Leone. Prior positions include Mental Health Counselor roles at Lullwater Counseling and Laurel Heights Hospital, where Ryan provided outpatient and inpatient counseling using various therapeutic approaches. Ryan's background also includes significant leadership experience as a Country Representative for Mennonite Central Committee, managing multimillion-dollar programs across mental health, education, and peacebuilding sectors. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Messiah University and a Master of Arts in Cross-Cultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary.
