Kara Manners is a Queens resident, raised in Forest Hills and currently living in Rego Park. Kara went to Forest Hills High School, followed by Hunter College for undergrad, and graduated from LIU with a Master’s in Urban Education. She has been in banking for about 15 years. Kara began her career at Astoria Federal Savings and came full circle when she left TD Bank in 2013 to rejoin Astoria under the leadership of James Griffin, which was later acquired by Sterling National Bank. Kara currently sits on the Board of NHS of Northern Queens and volunteers at various organizations including BUILD NYC and Junior Achievement. Kara has been in her current role as Regional CRA Officer since June of 2018.
