Sylvia He

Sylvia Sylvia is an accomplished academic currently serving as the Director of the MSc Programme in Sustainable Urban Planning and the Urban Studies Programme at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where Sylvia has held various faculty positions since September 2012. In addition to these roles, Sylvia is a Board Member of the Hong Kong Society for Transportation Studies since April 2016. Sylvia's previous experience includes visiting scholar roles at Portland State University and a visiting researcher position at The University of Tokyo. An academic assessor for HKU SPACE from December 2015 to November 2018, Sylvia has also completed a PhD in Policy, Planning, and Development at the University of Southern California, where Sylvia was a student from 2006 to 2012. Furthermore, Sylvia holds a Master of Arts in Economics and a Graduate Certificate in Financial Analysis and Valuation from the same institution, along with a Master's degree in Geography from McMaster University and a Bachelor's degree in Geography from Sun Yat-sen University.
