Chris Contakes has held various high-level positions in the technology field throughout their career. Chris is currently the Chief Technology Officer at The Chronicle of Higher Education since May 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Information Officer at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce from March 2019 to April 2022. Chris also held the role of Senior Technology Advisor at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce from September 2018 to March 2019. Chris Contakes earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh between 1988 and 1992. Later, from 1995 to 1997, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at American University.
