Carmen M. has over two decades of work experience in finance and accounting. Carmen currently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at The Classical Academies since July 2021. Prior to this role, they had worked as an Entrepreneur, VP, and Consultant at C-Squared Technology Solutions since 2000. From 2015 to 2021, Carmen served as the Senior Director of Fiscal Services at Palomar College. Carmen also held positions as a Board Member in Oversight Boards to the Successor Agencies of City of Vista Redevelopment Agency and City of Poway Redevelopment Agency from 2017 to 2018. Carmen has also worked at Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District in 2015 as the Senior Director of District Fiscal Operations. Carmen'searlier roles include being an Accounting Supervisor at San Diego Community College District's San Diego Miramar College and at Miramar College Foundation, Inc. from 1998 to 2014.

Carmen M. attended San Diego State University from 1993 to 1997, where they studied Accounting and Business/Management. In 2013, Carmen enrolled at San Diego Mesa College and pursued studies in Real Estate until 2015. Carmen then continued their education at Louisiana State University from 2017 to 2019, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.

The Classical Academies

The Classical Academies are an organization of award-winning, tuition-free, Certified California Public Charter Schools serving North San Diego County since 1999.
