The Clearing House
Simeon Fishman is the Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer for The Clearing House. In this role, Mr. Fishman is responsible for the oversight of the Company's identification, measurement, and management of its risks such that it operates prudently and within its risk appetite.
Mr. Fishman joined The Clearing House in 2020 as Senior Vice President, Head of Enterprise Risk Management, and was elevated to his current Chief Risk Officer position in March 2022.
Mr. Fishman has more than 20 years of experience in risk management at top tier financial institutions, including sell-side, buy-side, and FinTech firms. Prior to joining The Clearing House, he has held various senior risk management positions at JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo and AQR Capital Management, in which he was responsible for establishing risk management frameworks, and building out risk assessment, control, and risk analytics initiatives.
Mr. Fishman holds a B.Sc. in Physics and an M.Sc. in Information Technology both from the University of London in England, and holds certification as a Financial Risk Manager with the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
The Clearing House
The Clearing House is a banking association and payments company owned by the largest commercial banks, and dates back to 1853. The Clearing House Payments Company L.L.C. owns and operates core payments system infrastructure in the United States and is currently working to modernize that infrastructure by building a new, ubiquitous, real-time payment system. The Payments Company is the only private-sector ACH and wire operator in the United States, clearing and settling nearly $2 trillion in U.S. dollar payments each day, representing half of all commercial ACH and wire volume. Its affiliate, The Clearing House Association L.L.C., is a nonpartisan organization that engages in research, analysis, advocacy and litigation focused on financial regulation that supports a safe, sound and competitive banking system.
