In 2018, they joined Clique Brands as the SVP of Digital and VP of Research, Analytics & Audience Development. Prior to this, they were Head of Analytics & Audience Development at Fusion Media Group and OZY Media. From 2012-2015, they were the Sr. Director of Audience Development at NBC News Digital Group. Alton was also a Consultant and Freelance from 2002-2018, developing online collaboration tools and semantic analysis techniques. Before that, they were the Manager of Marketing at iVillage from 2000-2002.
Alton Phillips received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Mathematics and Gender & Sexuality Studies from Vassar College, followed by a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Sociology from New York University, and then a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Sociology from New York University.
