Michelle Cruz Arnold, PhD, has extensive experience in government relations and public policy, currently serving as Vice President of Government Relations & Advocacy at The College Board since June 2010, where previous roles included Executive Director and Senior Director of Government Relations. Prior to her tenure at The College Board, Michelle held the position of Vice President of Public Policy at Greater Houston Partnership from January 2008 to May 2010 and served as District Coordinator of External & Legislative Affairs at Clear Creek ISD from August 2006 to January 2008. Earlier career experience includes roles at the Texas Education Agency as Government Relations Manager and at the Texas House of Representatives, where Michelle progressed from Legislative Assistant to Chief of Staff. Michelle earned a Ph.D. in Educational Policy & Planning from The University of Texas at Austin, along with a Master of Public Administration from Texas State University and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from The University of Texas at Austin.
