Anita Ashton

Anita Ashton currently serves as the Deputy Registrar and Chief Regulatory Officer at The College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, a position held since December 2007, where strategic advice is provided to the Registrar and various committees. Notable accomplishments include leading the development of the Exam Exemption Policy to facilitate career transitions for practitioners. Prior roles within the organization include Interim Registrar and positions related to registration and professional conduct. Anita's earlier experience includes serving as Manager of Investigations & Resolutions at the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, where engagement in developing training programs and promoting customer satisfaction was prominent. Education includes a Master of Arts in Public Administration from Brock University, numerous certifications in investigative analysis, human resources, and strategic management from prestigious institutions, including the Harvard Kennedy School and Queen's University.
