Matthew Lohr

Matthew Lohr currently serves as the Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry for the Commonwealth of Virginia, overseeing key departments related to agriculture and forestry under Governor Glenn Youngkin. With extensive experience in the agricultural sector, Lohr also runs Lohr Leadership, a motivational speaking company, and operates a 250-acre farm through Valley Pike Farm, Inc. Previously, Lohr has held leadership roles including Chief of USDA-NRCS, Knowledge Center Director at Farm Credit of the Virginias, Commissioner of the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and Delegate for the 26th District in the Virginia House of Delegates. Lohr began his career as an AgriScience Instructor and holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Teacher Education from Virginia Tech.
