Shanell Gist is an experienced project manager specializing in criminal justice analysis and policy development, currently working with The Council of State Governments' Justice Center since November 2022. Prior to this role, Shanell served as the Director of Anti Human Trafficking at the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, leading operations and research initiatives to support survivors of human trafficking. Shanell has also held positions as Advocacy Manager and Victim Advocate, delivering crucial support to victims and their families. Additionally, Shanell has experience as an Adjunct Professor at Bryant & Stratton College, focusing on criminal justice courses, and has contributed significantly to program development in various mental health and incarceration projects.
