Tareq Salahuddin is a seasoned development practitioner and public health professional with extensive experience in various sectors. Currently serving as the In-charge of Star Health at The Daily Star since May 2003, Tareq has also held a position as an Independent Consultant in the development sector. Tareq's roles include Honorary Advisor at the Bangladesh Thalassemia Foundation since March 2007, Editor, CTO & Special Correspondent at News Hour since December 2013, and recently as a Communications Officer at the World Food Programme. Additional experience includes consulting roles with the International Finance Corporation and Asian Development Bank, as well as a directorship in Communications and Knowledge Management at Abt Associates. Tareq holds multiple degrees, including an MPH in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Health Economics from North South University and an MBBS from Sir Salimullah Medical College.
