Exploratorium
Anthony Earley, Jr. became executive chair of the Board of PG&E Corporation on March 1, 2017.
As former chairman of the Edison Electric Institute (EEI), the trade association of investor utilities, Tony was directly involved in the development of national policies on energy, the environment, and climate change. Tony earned a bachelor's degree in physics, a master's degree in engineering, and a law degree at the University of Notre Dame, where he serves on the advisory council of the College of Engineering. After graduating from Notre Dame, Tony went on to serve as an officer in the United States Navy nuclear submarine program, where he was qualified as a chief engineer officer.
His commitment to the community includes memberships on the boards of United Way Bay Area; The Exploratorium; and the Bay Area Council. Tony was named 2015 Philanthropic CEO of the Year by the American Red Cross of the Bay Area.
