Annette Mares-Duran

Annette Mares-Duran currently serves as the Director for Membership & Engagement at The Forum on Education Abroad, a position held since March 2022, and previously worked as a Member Services Manager. From April 2012 to March 2022, Annette was employed at The University of New Mexico, where responsibilities included Senior Advisor and Faculty-Led International Program Coordinator in the Global Education Office, as well as Study Abroad Advisor/Coordinator and PIRE/REU Coordinator at the Center for Micro Engineering Materials. Additionally, Annette has experience as a Volunteer Sending Coordinator for AFS Intercultural Programs from November 2012 to January 2018. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Language, Literacy, and Sociocultural Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Education, specializing in Spanish and TESOL, both obtained from The University of New Mexico.
