Monica Kyriacou Kelly

Monica Kyriacou Kelly is a Senior Laboratory Research Scientist at The Francis Crick Institute, where work in the Ancient Genomics Lab focuses on ancient DNA to explore human evolution, mobility, and disease in prehistory. Prior experience includes roles as a Trainee Clinical Scientist and Healthcare Scientist at NHS Blood and Transplant, contributing to haematopoietic stem cell and solid organ transplant programmes, and serving as a Forensic DNA Analyst at LGC, where responsibilities included managing workflow in the pre-PCR laboratory. Monica began their career as an Administrative Assistant at Enfield Council, providing services for personal CRB checks. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science from the University of Staffordshire and an International Baccalaureate from Highlands Secondary School.
