Omer Elad

Omer Elad is the Chief Executive Officer of The Gila Project - Transgenders for Social Justice since October 2022 and previously served as Project Manager at Ma'avarim - Israeli Trans Community from January 2021 to September 2022, where Omer built and managed Os Trans, the first social work program for the transgender community in Israel, funded by the Ministry of Welfare and Social Affairs. Prior experience includes a role as Program Manager at Central City Concern from 2018 to 2020. Omer's academic background includes a PhD candidacy in Social Work from The City University of New York (2020 - 2021), a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Simmons University (2010 - 2012), and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design (2006 - 2010).
