Ernest Waititu

Ernest Waititu is an accomplished editorial manager currently leading strategic communication efforts at The Global Fund since April 2021. With a strong background in communication and health journalism, Ernest has played a key role in articulating the organization's positions on critical global health issues, including AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria. Notably, Ernest founded a thought leadership group at the Global Fund to enhance communication strategies and successfully established the Global Fund's Executive Communications team. Prior experience includes serving as a communications specialist at The Global Fund from 2012 to 2021 and managing health and digital media projects at Internews Network, where Ernest oversaw training and storytelling initiatives across multiple countries. Ernest holds a Master's Degree in Journalism and a Master's of International Affairs in African Studies from Ohio University, complemented by a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Kenyatta University.
