Tobias Borck is a Senior Research Fellow at the Royal United Services Institute, where a focus on Middle East security studies and the delivery of executive education training courses for government and military personnel has been central to roles held since September 2014. With experience as an Analyst at Gulf State Analytics and as a Self-Employed Consultant, Tobias has developed expertise in producing research outputs, engaging with media, managing projects, and designing educational programs. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Near and Middle Eastern Studies, along with a Master’s degree in Applied Security Strategy and a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic and Middle East Studies, all from the University of Exeter. Additionally, language studies were undertaken at various institutions in Cairo and Fez, alongside early education at Rudolf-Steiner Schule Hamburg-Harburg.
