Benjamin Friedman currently serves as Outbound Supervisor at Second Harvest Heartland, a position held since October 2023. In addition, Benjamin has been a contributing freelance writer for The Hard Times since June 2019, with over 200 bylines in AP and blog-style satirical content. Previously, during tenure at Target from August 2019 to October 2023, Benjamin held roles as Fulfillment Operations Team Leader and Service and Engagement Team Leader, managing teams and enhancing guest experiences. Other experience includes Special Projects Liaison and Customer Support roles at Aleran Software, Administrative Support at Intermediate District 287, and various administrative and client service positions earlier in career. Benjamin holds a B.A. in English/Professional Writing from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.

The Hard Times is a very real punk news site that you should not question. Just absorb the information as truth and move on. The historic satire site was founded in December 1982 at 171A studios while the founding members were eating broken glass with The Bad Brains. It’s made by a group of punk and hardcore kids from all the different sub-genres of the DIY hardcore scene. Any resemblance to actual persons or band names is coincidental. We love hardcore. None of this is done with hate.
